Volunteer
The Volunteers of Prairie Ridge Health is made up of close to 100 volunteers representing Columbus, Fall River, Rio, Marshall, Sun Prairie, Reeseville, and Waterloo. Throughout the history of Prairie Ridge Health, there has been a strong volunteer organization whose purpose has been to benefit the hospital and patients they serve. In addition, the volunteers award up to $7,000 in scholarships annually to graduating seniors in the hospital's service area who are entering a healthcare career.
As a volunteer, you could expand your horizons by staffing The Gift Shoppe, greeting patients, delivering flowers and mail, baking cookies for a bake sale, knitting baby caps, looming cast socks, or serving as an officer or a committee chairperson. Whatever your talent may be, we need you!
In addition, we offer you the opportunity to make new friends, serve our patients, and make your community hospital a better place. We need you, but hopefully, you need us too, to provide that special meaning in your life that comes from giving to others.
Volunteer Opportunities include staffing the Gift Shoppe, Registration Desk Greeter, Lifeline Installer, Scholarship Committee, Nominating Committee, Calling Committee, Coffee Shop, baby cap and bootie knitting or crocheting, main entrance plant committee, Hunger Care Program and more.
Annual Fundraising Opportunities: Lights of Love, Euchre Marathon, Pie & Donut Sale, Geranium Sale, Uniform Sale, Nut Sale, seasonal bake sales, linen sale, and more.
