The Columbus Community Hospital Medical/Surgical Unit serves a wide range of patients from pediatric to geriatric with a variety of conditions. 

The unit consists of a general surgery recovery and general medical floor in which the team cares for each patient's individual needs following an assortment of surgeries, procedures and conditions. 

Each patient is cared for by a collaborative, multidisciplinary team including members from Pharmacy, Social Services, Nursing, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Infection Prevention, and a Registered Dietitian. This team meets daily to discuss, plan and implement individual patient care plans to ensure: 

• Each patient's individual needs are meet
• The highest quality care possible is delivered 
• Proper teaching and education is provided to every patient before discharge so they are able to manage their health upon leaving the hospital
